My laptop is plugged in as usual while i am using zoom. Usually when it reaches 100%, i would continue to power plug in so long as i am using the laptop, and the battery stays at 100% without issues. However,  i noticed it shows '255%' and the battry icon has an X. And when i click on it, it says no battery present.
My laptop is relatively NEW. so i am worried is there some battery issue??? should i get it fixed??

I watched a video recommending to set the limit at 80percent charge and keep it plugged in to extend the battery life of lithium ion batteries (even if it is already at 80%, I have been practicing this method for about 4 days now ang the cycle of charging only added 1 from 51-52. one cycle is charging the battery from 1% to 100%. according to studies, Li-on batteries have typically 500-1000 cycles as it gradually decreases its full charge capacity. for about 3 weeks of use I consumed 51 cycles of charging with me using the unit for about 4-5 hrs a day. my habit then was to charge it (to 100%) when it reaches 20% battery.

    run cmd and type

    powercfg /batteryreport

    then press enter

it will generate a report showing your battery health together with some history of your charges. also this will show how many cycles your battery have used.

hope this help even if this is out of your question.
