Hello folks,

I got a Nitro 5 (AN515-54-78LG) on the end of February that I used mainly for work, running simulations on Linux. I noticed that it got quite hot under a heavy workload, as expected.
However, I have now been using it to play some games on Windows and I have noticed it gets really hot as well even when the games are not that demanding (e.g. Rocket League, which ran on my old 3rd gen i5). I don't believe a computer like this should thermal throttle for a game like this.

I have replaced the standard 8gb of RAM with 2x16gb from crucial, and added a 1TB kingston SSD. The rear of the computer is also elevated, to increase air flow, and I take care to clean the air entrances on the computer.

Below is a screenshot of when I was playing, using the balanced power mode on NitroSense and with both auto and max settings tested (before and after the gap). As you can see, CPU utilization is around a steady 30% of use when the game is open. Plenty of RAM free as well. Yet, still have thermal throttle.

I have read some older posts stating that NitroSense can be a problem because it forces the higher frequency and that maybe undervolting could be a solution and so on, but I don't think I should limit the computer's performance. Running it on power saver mode makes it run cooler indeed, but then gameplay is affected noticeably.

Should I consider a replacement? I don't think pasting should change much as it's still new, and I don't want to void warranty (purchased in Germany).
