I just came off a Zoom meeting and was frustrated that my image was a mirror.

I saw in earlier questions that there is supposed to be a toggle on/off on the camera settings on Zoom but I looked and there is no such toggle on/off on the latest version.
How do I stop the camera only showing mirror images?

First, let me mention that when we use Zoom, Facebook Messenger, and HouseParty (a new one that we find very easy to use), they all show a mirror image.
Here's a silly idea you might try just for fun. Sit behind your camera and hold a mirror in front of the camera so you can see the computer screen and camera. The mirror will present a mirror image of you to the camera. When the camera "mirrors" that the resulting image of you should be normal, not mirrored. Mmm, i just read that back after typing and it sounds confusing, but i tried it with my laptop and it worked.

By the way, i just checked the "Camera" app in Windows 10 and noticed that it also mirrors my image. Can't help wondering why they all do that?

Well, your comments about using a mirror are silly and don't need any comment from me.  All I can say is that cameras invented 100 years ago gave perfectly normal images but somehow Acer and all the other "Hi-Tech" companies failed to learn and have tried to reinvent the camera, failing miserably.  It's about time these tech companies learned how to build a camera.

It's very frustrating. The camera app in W10 and Zoom both show a mirror image so the writing on my new t-shirt is back to front. If I raise my right hand, it looks as if the left hand has been raised. The 'mirror' option under video in Zoom corrects it for me but not for others in the conference. Anyone got a solution?

@pwmehta if you have another device like a phone or tablet, use it to join your own meeting room and check the mirroring of the webcam. I see that it is mirrored on my side but looks normal to another person.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

You have to tweak your webcam settings in Zoom, Zoom completely takes control of Audio and Camera. There is an option in Zoom to mirror your camera, either turn that on or off.
