Hi, I also experienced same thing with my acer lappy. Slight metal dent but nothing else broke. Were you able to fix it with them and accepted the warranty? Your reply will be a huge help

Well, I did not take my laptop to service center because I am lazy. I did however tried to fix the dent by using a suction cup but that did not fix. As of right now, the dent still exists but it is not a huge deal.

Mjdiva22 UniverseGOD2525 acer warranty policy does not cover self user damage unfortunately dropping the laptop, liquid spillages some cases of broken keyboard keys etc and many others (also in some rare cases even burned mobos that are diagnosed to be users fault may also be rejected if its found that the user didnt followed recommend safe use guidelines to operate the device) are not covered by any manufacturer under any warranty policy (everyone needs to check the warranty policy for your own country on acer support they are not the same in all countries they may vary from country to country) unless you buy your own personal insurance that would cover such damages to any insurance company  thats considered self user damage they only cover hardware failure etc and in some cases mechanical issues like broken hinges etc the only way for you to fix that its either buy a new display back panel cover or just leave it and unfortunately live with  anyway good luck :)
