Just got my laptop, tore off the stickers and used vinegar to try to remove the residue.

I JUST got the Predator Helios 300 and I'm afraid I've already messed it up. The computer seems slightly hot while playing classic World of Warcraft. Not the bottom of the computer but the top right beneath the screen. I was wondering if this is normal and if my using vinegar had anything to do with it, I really don't think a drop of vinegar got beneath the keyboard but could the vinegar have something to do with the cooling system not working properly?

Also, how can I best go about removing the residue from the sticker I tore off?

YUYUYU the vinegar wont have anything to do with your temps but its highly acid and corrosive it may well damage some hardware especially the keyboard any type of liquids whatsoever dropped on top of the laptop it should be disassembled asap uif the owner is able to without voiding the warranty in order to clean/dry it properly or contact acer support for them to do it themselves also bare in mind spillages are not covered under warranty they are considered self user damage and its completely normal to get hot on those places its where the heatsink runs  as long as your temps arent over 85'ish cpu and 70/75 gpu max youre fine you should optimise your windows properly  and undervolt with TS check here if not already or even further and even if still needed get it repasted with kryonaut or similar either way i would get that spillage checked asap good luck :)

Which sticker exactly are u talking about here if your talking about the warranty sticker/seal you just voided your warranty unless you live in the US/CA or even UK where there arent any warranty stickers you can open it yourself to upgrade/clean/repaste without voiding the warranty as long as nothing is damage on the process.

Wow, I didn't realize stickers were so important. I basically took a small bit of crumbled up paper towel and applied it to the empty space (not the keyboard) where the stickers were), later swiped it with some water to get the vinegar off

I basically just took a small crumbled u paper towel and rubbed some vinegar on the glue residue, do you think that could at all result in a burning plastic smell that I think I could be smelling? Maybe I'm just being paranoid, regardless I just want to make sure.
