Add an SSD to that system or replace the current disk you have for one, that's probably the thing that's going to make the most difference. Because we don't know which of the A515-51G it is you have (we lack the next letters and numbers) we can't suggest many things but from what you're describing you have to have a mechanical disk for sure.

Adding to the problem, the disk could not be in its better shape, there's generally a little bit more space in the disk than what it's claimed, measured in sectors. When one sector gets damaged it gets reallocated to the spare ones, but that means the disk has to move more to get data in those sectors because they're not consecutive anymore.

Imagine you have a bookshelf, and you have the Harry Potter books in there, except the one of the books is all the way at the end of the shelf instead of being next to the others. You'll get there, and you'll get them all, just not as quick. This same analogy happens for fragmented disks as well, disks that are not damaged in any way, but for some reason part of the data isn't stored consecutively (for example, updates to certain files). That's another possibility, and they could both be happening, who knows.

The attached program should tell you a bit more about the health of the drive itself, post a screenshot or picture of the attributes tab, like these:
