When trying to log on to chromebook 15 CB5 571 the error message 'cant verify password please check keyboard layout' comes up.
i have tried pressing contr shift and space but still no joy.

i have checked password is correct

i can get on has a guest and keyboard typing correctly.

Use an external keyboard (if you have one?) and see if that works? Otherwise the keyboard must not be working properly to log you into the main system or as an Administrator and that is why you get 'cant verify password please check keyboard layout' comes up. As its very strange that the keyboard works under ‘Guest” and not otherwise, there must be something wrong with the keyboard. 

Try to clean the keyboard with cotton buds within its keys and/or use a vacum to vacum the dust as the underside of the keyboard has allot of nooks and crannies that particles can get into that can affect key function. If that doesn’t work then open the laptop and inspect the keyboard, clean its top and underside and check cable connection and seat the keyboard properly and try again. If all this does not work then change the keyboard (as they are cheap US $16.75 delivered) and that should fix your problem.
