Though, I can't find much info about the current RAM that is installed but I think it's DDR4. I don't understand where that 4GB is coming from within the laptop since the programs (HWinfo, CPU-Z) is only showing that 2GB is installed in one of the slots.

So, if I want to increase the RAM, what would I need to get? 6GB isn't that much.

No, you will just increase the memory amount. I would suggest you to uninstall MalwareBytes and only use Windows security. I think you will see a difference.

Thanks. You won't be able to use your ADATA memory modules since your laptop supports DDR4 2133 MHz. I would suggest you this one. It will work at 2133 MHz. The new memory amount will be 8GB (4GB onboard + one module of 4GB).

I find that it takes 7+ hours to run a scan with MalwareBytes Antimalware (FREE). Don't know if that's a RAM or CPU thing. The funny thing is that I don't have a lot of stuff on it. Just a plan Windows 10 + Acer preloaded stuff on an SSD.

Agreed. That program is even slow on my Aspire A315-41 and that has 8GB of RAM.
