I've found some spare RAM modules from an older laptop that has failed and I was wondering if I can use it to increase the total RAM from 6GB to 8GB. The sticks are a dual channel kit of ...
ADATA AM1U16BC4P2-B19C
4GB 2RX8 PC3-12800S-11
DDR3 1600 CL11

Though, I can't find much info about the current RAM that is installed but I think it's DDR4. I don't understand where that 4GB is coming from within the laptop since the programs (HWinfo, CPU-Z) is only showing that 2GB is installed in one of the slots.

So, if I want to increase the RAM, what would I need to get? 6GB isn't that much.

    Hello,
No, you will just increase the memory amount. I would suggest you to uninstall MalwareBytes and only use Windows security. I think you will see a difference.
