Hi, back again lol.
Ever since I first started playing games on this laptop, my 5ghz wifi would just discconnect mid-game. I'm on full bars, the speed is amazing but too often it just disconnects. This never happened to my old PC, or my current phone either. I tried using a wifi extender (2.4ghz), and I never randomly disconnected, however the speed was unbearably slow. Not exactly sure what to do here.

In the screenshot below I changed the roaming aggressiveness to "1. Lowest", and I changed "Preferred Band" to "3 - Prefer 5Ghz Band", which didn't prevent the random disconnects.

Thanks

I'm kind of happy but also extremely frustrated that there's also another person experiencing this. I searched it up and it turns out there are even more people experiencing this. Crazy that I could have just bought my own PC instead of a laptop that runs extremely slowly at times, stutters ingame constantly, and can't even connect to wifi properly. Great. £600 gone

Do you have access to a wired connection? If so, maybe you could try updating the wifi driver. Or if you have a phone, try seeing if it'll connect to it via Hotspot. Worst case scenario, you might have a defective wifi card and will need to take it to an acer service center to get it fixed for free. But those things take too long sometimes.
