Hello,

I need help with the issue  I am facing consistently. I am not able to keep my device (Acer Swift 3) connected to my home WIFI network. It keeps getting disconnected after a restart or being idle for a few mins. It is taking a lot of hard work to connect it again. I am not facing this issue with my work laptop (Windows 10) or mobile devices which uses the same network.

Error: " Can't connect to this network"

Troubleshoot Tried till now:

1:Ran the windows troubleshooter which fixed the issue temporarily a few times but not all the times.

In the report, the problem can be found as "Problem with Wireless adapter or Access point"

2:Tried to forget the network (Settings->wifi->manage Known networks)

3: Tried to reset my router and Network Reset too.

4: I took a chance and reset my entire PC :(, Still the problem is the same.

Additional info, When I try to connect after Network Reset, sometimes I notice available networks are getting replicated(ex, XYZ can be seen as XYZ and XYZ2) and also there is a delay of more than 5 mins to stop showing in the available networks even when the router or Mobile Hotspot is turned off.

Thanks in advance.

  • What is the exact model of your laptop and wireless network card? Example an515-51-75kz and QCA9377. Is the wireless network card configured for high performance in power options?

    Laptop model Swift SF314-55G.
    Intel AC9560.
Regarding the power management options, I am unable to find the power management tab when I try to open devise properties. So Not sure if it configured for high performance.

  • I did not find an image in English, but it is in this location:

Also try disabling these two functions:

Have a look at your Intel WiFi/BT drivers and update them to the latest, also when you do this, make sure that you completely uninstall all WiFi/BT before installing the latest drivers.

Also check the WiFi/BT card physically if the antenna wires (thin black/white wires on top of the card) are not lose or dislodged from their plugs, also try pressing F3 key or both F3 + Fn keys and see if the WiFi/BT comes back as the F3 key function is purposefully made for that. If this does not fix your problem(s) then buy a new  WiFi/BT card and see if that fixes your problem.
