I think I understand his confusion, because, the stock Samsung RAM is 3200Mhz, he installed another HyperX 2933Mhz, i5 10th gen supports up to 2933Mhz so he expected the system to run as 2933Mhz, but then his laptop downclocked the speed to 2666Mhz. I expected the same as him too, even though different RAM, I think it should still run as 2933Mhz.

I'm trying to save some buck and I don't want to waste my stock RAM so I'm just looking to buy 1 HyperX 2933Mhz to get the dual channel effect (run as 2933Mhz), but it looks like with different RAM will cause downclock, so, what do you think?
Just mix 2 RAM anyway and live with it, or spend more buck for another HyperX and forget the stock RAM?
I don't think I can sell the stock Samsung RAM anyway so it will probably end up staying forever in the drawer.
