So I had this problem for my battery failed to charge in the first time. Then I contacted Acer where they send their technician & told me that my battery need to be changed. Since the battery is not covered in their warranty anymore so I need to purchase a replacement with them. Subsequently, the technician came again and fix my laptop with the new battery replacement. Surprise surprise the same problem happened again. This time at least the new battery can be charged only when I kept my laptop completely shut down and only be charged 20% after plugged in overnight. Starting to think that my previous battery was still okay & I'm getting ripped off by Acer.

Asking if anyone have the same problem as mine.

Hahanif if your laptop was already sent to warranty it might even be the adapter (as u stated the battery was replaced check the wear anyways with hwinfo r battery bar pro) or worst case the mobo itself needs replacing  i suggest you keep insisting with them in order to get it properly fixed (it might be anything) theres nothing we can do here as they are the ones who are able to fix it since they already know whats gong on as i said my best advice keep pushing to get it properly fixed personally i only try to troubleshoot any issues before anyone sends it to acer after that its with them nothing to do with me anymore good luck.

Also this community its not an acer direct support channel and we are not acer employees we are only normal users like everyone else here voluntarily on our own time to try to troubleshoot any issues the best way we can.

@xapim understood. I have a problem with the Acer technician before as I don't think he did a proper check during the first visit & simply push for a new battery replacement. Well it didn't fix the problem even with a fresh new battery.

Kind of hoping anyone who have the same problem as mine managed to fix theirs for sharing (read: to avoid Acer technician suggesting me for any funny replacement)

FYI I have scheduled a repair visit this week. Will update again in this thread.

Hahanif meanwhile u can check you battery wear percentage with hwinfo or battery bar pro but since its new will most probably be fine but keep insisting with the support as its their duty to fix it properly under warranty no matter the issue
