I have never had any luck finding the Acer Drivers for this Travelmate P633-M notebook. I have about ten of them that I use for teaching senior citizens Windows 10, which works well on them, except for the ability to update anything through Acer. It's as if the laptop doesn't even exist in their Search windows despite having a SNID number, etc. when trying to find on the purported "Support" page for drivers and manuals, etc. Incredibly frustrating.

I need to reinstall touchpad driver/firmware so that finger scroll, which just simply stopped working, can be refreshed. Acer doesn't seem to like the search term "Synaptics" either, which is understandable considering that brand, while used on an awful lot of computers, seems to have either ***** hardware or firmware...at least in my experience, regardless of the manufacturer of laptops I even had one service tech, I think that one was at HP or Dell, "suggest" that I just use a mouse! Sort of defeats the purpose of having a laptop with a touchpad. Help!

Well, that was quick for me, I looked for "P633-M" in the support page search instead of looking for the exact serial numbers and I think this would be the support page for that model: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/4428?b=1

As for Synaptics, I have had a completely opposite experience with them, even old systems being able to use Windows' Precission drivers instead of their own and working like a charm. I've had trouble with ALPS for example (although that was like 10 years ago), and I have a love-hate relationship with Elan, but Synaptics for me has been dependable in all of the machines I've worked ;)

Thanks. Glad to see you had success where I didn't. When I typed in the model number, I got "no result." Why you did, I'll probably never know! LOL. I really appreciate the quick response. Again, thanks!
