We're missing a whole lot of information here, like how you created the bootable installation media, or whether it is a USB stick or a DVD you're installing from for example.

There's a guide that may help you out: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/893916/#Comment_893916

And was that stick made for UEFI, or legacy systems, or legacy and UEFI-CSM?

The more descriptive you are on how it was created the better for us to diagnose why it's not appearing as a boot option. For instance, if it was a USB stick partitioned with GPT to be used under UEFI but that machine is an older one that only supports the traditional way of doing things, it should be formatted using an MBR scheme instead (talking about Rufus).

Another thing, UEFI by default doesn't like booting off of NTFS for example, so if the system is configured as UEFI but your stick has its partition being NTFS, it won't appear, FAT32 it is. And on the contrary, an NTFS partition is more than enough to boot a Windows installer in MBR partition (with it marked as active or the boot partition).

Okay, so you did get to install Windows in the machine, is the drive still being recognized in the firmware settings (BIOS)? I.e. if you access the BIOS, can you see the drive there?

Another thing, if you booted off of the USB stick, as if you were to install Windows again, would the drive appear as well?
