Metin2 doesn't run on my dedicated graphics card on my Aspire E5-571G

Hello I have a problem with one game I like to play, the problem is I can't run it on my dedicated graphics card, it always runs on my integrated card, even when I set my NVIDIA 840m in the game's launcher itself. I've tried putting the .exe files of the game to NVIDIA Control panel manually and then setting High-performance NVIDIA processor for them as preffered graphics processor - it didn't work. I've also tried doing the same thing in Windows 10 settings - also didn't work. Then I've tried changing my power plan to Maximum performence in power settings - that did'nt work either. The last thing I've tried was plugging in a second monitor via VGA but that did nothing because both the monitors were running on my integrated graphics card. Any ideas please? I really need it to run on my NVIDIA 840m, it's an old game I know it should run on my integrated graphics just fine but in certain locations when monsters are multipling when you kill them it lags, till I have 1 FPS because the integrated graphics can't handle it, hope you understand me.

This is a known problem with metin2 when the dedicated gpu cannot be manually controlled. The main issue is that the game itself is WinXP era and not equipped to automatically switch. If you haven't done so already, you might want to join the steam forums to see if there's been any new developments https://steamcommunity.com/app/550900/discussions/0/1327844097133665264/You might also try to run the game in Win7 or WinXP compatibility modeJack E/NJ

>>>it should run on my integrated graphics>>>It should for Win7 if you have 4GB RAM. For Win10 you might need 8GB. Up to 10-20% is usually made available for the integrated GPU if the game won't use the nvidia GPU.I suggest signing in or registering with the current distributors/publishers to see if they can offer any tips https://gameforge.com/en-US/sign-inJack E/NJ

I have 8GB of RAM and Windows 10, it runs OK, but I play on a private server which has a few new things and new maps that are more demanding since more mobs then usual are spawning but even when I'm on the first map and there's a lot of people it lags then on a market when there's like 1000shops it lags even more. I saw some videos from this server and people with better graphics card had zero lag, so it's not the game's optimalization fault. It's just that it runs on my integrated card.0

Have you signed into gameforge or steam forums yet to post your issue with your machine? Don't just search for an answer, ask the question onthe game forums for your particular laptop. It is the game's fault if it can't detect or use the nvidia card since the card is detected and working with Windows and other games. Jack E/NJ

I won't get any answer from Gameforge forum, because I don't play on their official servers, I might try to ask on the forum of the server I'm playing at. And I know it's the games fault just wanted to know if I can do something to make it work. I heard disabling the integrated card works in most cases but sometimes it can cause a lot of trouble or blackscreen so guess I'd rather not do that.0
