I purchased the Predator Orion 5000 roughly 2 weeks ago. This purchase made me switch from mac to windows the first time after a decade. Not remembering much on how to operate it but I don't think it relates to the issue. While playing cs go today, the screen froze for few seconds and it restarted itself. While it was turning on, patterns of purple lines started to appear on my screen, and it seems I can't fix it at all. I read several forums and tips. Everyone said that check your driver. Another problem is that I cant open my Geforce RTX 2070 control panel open. Apologies for my bad English. Please help.

Start by doing a full shutdown and reboot so you are in a clean environment as far as software is concerned. If you are still seeing the purple lines take a picture and post it here for us to see. Are you connected to the monitor using a DP port, HDMI or something else? Is the cable tightly attached at each end?

Firstly, what monitor are you using with your Predator Orion 5000? I would suggest that you also use an Acer Predator monitor, as they have excellent response times of as low as 1 millisecond, also their low refresh rates mean ghosting is rare. As that could have an effect and bearing on your problem(s) and on what games and resolution(s) you have set this up for, hence and why the “screen froze for few seconds and it restarted itself. While it was turning on, patterns of purple lines started to appear on my screen”.

Also, this is not a great disaster, a Predator Orion 5000 is an above average gaming platform with its GeForce® RTX™ 2070 graphics that is excellent for gaming, also, make sure you have the latest NVIDIA driver version 451.67-WHQL dated 09 Jul 2020 installed and your Win-10 updates is up to date and with the latest version 2004 OS build 19041.388 as that could be crucial to how your system operates but, all in all this platform is more than capable in handling “CS-GO” sorts of games and it could be just a one off.

For the "I cant open my Geforce RTX 2070 control panel open" go to C:/ Program Files > NVIDIA Corporation > Control Panel Client and click on "nvcplui" and that will bring your NVIDIA and Geforce RTX 2070 control panel open, simple.
