How to extract data from hard drive out of a dead Aspire S7-392-7885?

My Aspire S7-392-7885 is dead (likely motherboard). I took the 256GB Kingston hard drive out, and tried several mSATA/USB adaptors in an attempt to extract the data with no luck. Is there a way to get my data out of the hard drive?

It is compatible, just not as powerful. They used that motherboard on all the S7-392 models, populated with different CPUs... I don't believe they did an i3 version, but there are SKUs with two different i5s (i5-4200U and i5-4210U) and two i7s (I7-4500U and i7-4510U). Any will work enough to get the data off the drive and at least gives you a laptop back, even if not as powerful as it originally was.

That is going to be a toughie. :( The mSATA drive on those models is actually two drives on a single card with RAID0 striping to give a single volume. It made for a faster drive since you could read from both at the same time. Likely you are going to have to connect it to another laptop of the same, or very similar, model as yours in order to pull anything from them. I don't know of any USB adapters that can handle a dual drive mSATA card like that.
I wonder if Kingston would have any suggestions?

Thank you for the explanation. It must be tricky as Geek Squad at Bestbuy has no solution. I also wonder if there are any suggestions from the Acer support?

Yeah, they are usually best at the common issues and not as good with something really esoteric like this. So ... how dead is your dead motherboard? It looks like an eBay vendor has one for $80...

Thank you again Billsey for your suggestions. The motherboard seems completely dead. I looked at the motherboard from eBay (S7-392 core i5-4200U), and not sure it’s compatible with mine (S7-392-7885 core i7). I will be happy if I can get a compatible replacement motherboard.
I actually bought another Acer laptop recently, Swift 5 Pro - SF514-52TP-52LH with core i5. Not sure if it will work or worth trying to swap the hard drive to see if
the old data can be pulled out using my new Swift 5 Pro?
