is it safe to do that? thank you
That is also debatable hahaha, I could say it is and other people could say it is not, both being reasonable answers if you ask me.
how to update my device bios in a right way?
Boot into Windows, have the battery connected and with at least 25% of its charge, have the power adapter connected, download the latest revision. Double click it and wait.

The laptop will restart itself a couple of times maybe, then the process is done and it's business as usual.

Because firmware upgrades tend to reset the settings to the factory defaults, if you had changed something important like the SATA mode or the operation mode (UEFI vs. legacy) you'd need to change them again in the BIOS for Windows to boot.

    Necessary? Debatable.
    Recommended? Debatable as well.

Would I do it? Yes, if you're on 1.01 I would upgrade the BIOS to the current latest release.

You should go straight for the last one if you are upgrading BIOSes and you're encountering no problems.

A little bit of an explanation would be this: it's different in a sense of what an update is for a program, the firmware of a computer lives inside of a chip in the motherboard; typically a chip that can only be read, not written to once it's setup. Upgrading requires the chip to be emptied and then "reprogrammed", in other terms overwritten with other contents, but the erasing part is necessary.

It's all transparent to the user, and while you can just reprogram parts of it and not all of it, that's not usually done because sections of it can grow or shrink so it would be impractical. It's better to just erase and reprogram.

PS. Technically speaking there are areas of that chip that are not included in the firmware upgrade but those are ignored (i.e. not erased), only what is included is reprogrammed.
