I’m using acer predator Helios 300 i5 8th gen 1050ti and from day 1 while playing games it’s overheating my laptop temp goes 95°C - 97°C,so I watched couple of YouTube videos on undervolting using throttlestop remix and intel XTU I used them but still my cpu temp is 97°c I do couple of cpu test and my max temp was 97-98°c after undervolting ,then I cleaned my Aero blade (it was pretty dusty) but still noting happened my Laptop temp was 97°c I have also Repaste thermal paste so little bit my temp drops it was 91°c (still high ) and my CPU was throttling ,so I updated my bios from 1.19 to 1.26 and now again my temp increases from 91 to 97°c . I’m really confused that what’s the problem with my laptop I have done everything to reduce it's temp but nothing is working for me .....help !

Clean all air vents and only use throttlestop.
Intel XTU is not very helpful

Thanks for the suggestion as I told you I cleaned all the vents and fans and I have also used throttlestop remix and undervolted it -0.140 and I run the test nothing happened my laptop tem was 97°c
but yeah one thing when I run the test without plugging charger my laptop temp was 77°c
so I’m confused is there a problem with my battery, laptop charger, voltage or bad CPU bcoz my CPU that only overheat my GPU temp goes 75°c

revrock if you repasted with kryonaut or similar and your still getting high temps you have a bad repaste redo it i suggest spread method only a thinl layer covering both diodes its enough too much paste its bad to check if your ts settings are applying or not (make sure to turn on TS many ppl just open it/leave it and think its already on) check hwinfo sensors fro your undervolt values

revrock you u have a bad repaste and windows not properly optimised TS will not do anything at all even just a good repaste with a proper thermal paste its enough to lower the temps down up to 25+ and of course not to forget to clean the fans and exit airflow properly when repasting

revrock as i said bad repaste sorry no one can help u there in this case doesnt matter whatever u do a bad repaste its a bad repaste  some ppl take up to 5/6 times before they get it right also make sure you havent got any of the thermal pads damaged as that will certainly make the heatsink uneven and cause bad thermal transfer

Hey so my problem got fixed finally I was facing this problem since 2018 I repasted thermal paste 2 times from acer care centre but nothing work I started 3 Threads here everyone given me diffrent suggestion of undervolting and all but settings was applying I was going to give up on my gaming and I thought I made mistake buying predator
but then I joined hotel hero Facebook group I met some people one of them help me he used teamviewer and diagonosed my laptop he used hotel hero i5 8th gen throttle stop file he run a bench test and still my temp was 96°C he HW monitor to see if undervolting is applying or not and as I mention first undervolting setting was not applying

so straight to the point now a bad C++ file was stopping undervolting settings on my laptop so he reinstall it and then apply it and it works and then I repasted thermal paste and now my tem drop from 97°c to 70-83°c while playing games as you can see the SS I attached So i played gta5 for 30 min in stress and the max temp I got is 83°C on auto and when play that in fan speed max the temp I got is 70°c and before undervolting and repasting thermal in first 10 min of gameplay my temp reaches to 97°C the things which where making my CPU heat are
    1. Bad thermal repast (which acer technician has done 2 times ) my suggestion is repaste thermal by your own watching couple of YouTube videos
    2. check wheather your undervolting settings are getting applied through HW monitor if not then simply reinstall your visual C++ files
in my case some bad C++ files was not letting me undervolt or downgrade your bios to its factory default
hope if someone facing similar problem like me can you this things which used and fixed there overheating problem
    thanks everyone to helping me
Next year I’m planing to buy new Helios 500
but this Helios 300 2018 one will be special for me bcoz this laptop givien me lots of problem lol😂
