Hello Acer team. I need your help. I don't know which ram to buy. I tried using cpu-z and it just left me confused. I have 4gb default ram and I want to add another 16gb but I don't know the cas timing and clockspeed of my default ram. Also, I don't know if my laptop's mobo ram pin. Is it 260-Pin?

Look at this. My dram frequency is at 1330.1 Mhz? omg

Yep, I was right, so you only have the memory that is integrated in the motherboard itself and nothing installed in the socket.

Simplifying things (check the guide for the full explanation on why) you'll be looking for DD4-2666 MHz RAM, also known as PC-21300, in SODIMM format (that's the one for laptops).

And hope it plays nice with the on-board RAM, because it is tricky to match them sometimes :S

    Hi,
You have 4GB onboard memory and a slot for upgrade, you can upgrade up to 20GB(4GB onboard+16GB) with a DDR4 2400MHz module, from your CPU-z reading it shows 4GB running @ 2666MHz  :o could you please post the picture of SPD tab for all the slots, if it's possible open the RAM door and post the picture showing the model name of the memory in the slot.

It is, the first D in DDR stands for double, Double Data Rate. The clock you see there, just like the DRAM frequency in your first screenshot, is just displayed as half, you're running your internal, 4 GB of RAM memory, at 2660 MHz with the primary timings being 19-19-19-43.

Note that depending on the load RAM can work slower to preserve energy, but as you can see in your screenshot it can reach its full potential.

The other slot seems to be unpopulated as of now judging by that HWiNFO screenshot, or there'd be a + sign before "Memory" like with the other categories. Still, do as @brummyfan2 says and post a screenshot of the SPD tab in CPU-Z to be sure.

Hello Acer team. I need help. My laptop is an Acer aspire A315-55G-50YV and has 8 GB of RAM. As far as I know, 4 GB of this RAM can be integrated into the motherboard and the other can be upgraded, and it shows that I use one of the two slots, but when I opened the back of the laptop, I saw that there is 8 GB of RAM. slot .Now I'm wondering if there is a single channel 8gb or is it integrated into the 4gb motherboard and has 4gb ram in the slot?
