Judging just by the components it has, I'd blindly say yes, it supports M.2 NVMe drives, but to be sure check this out in HWiNFO, we'll looking for a 4x in Maximum Link Width.

EDIT: Not true, there's no way to find out through HWiNFO unless they're sharing the same port and lanes.

We're looking for a 4x in Maximum Link Width, right click and open the image in a new tab to see it better.

thank you for the quick response. it does have a 4x maximum link width but it is used by the dedicated gpu,
the other port is 2x maximum link width
so does this mean i can use nvme

Well, what do you know! I just learned something!!! Thank you @Nekopan!!

Apparently depending on how the system is wired internally it may not be possible to know how many PCIe lanes (if any) are allocated for the M.2 port through software!

I just checked that mine is on port #0, and #5 belongs to the dedicated graphics card as you well noticed! So unless they're sharing lanes, something which would be very lame given that there are PCI root ports empty in my system there's no way to find out. HWiNFO, AIDA, Sandra, even SiW, none of them were able to tell me the lane allocation for the port #0.

So the only way to know for sure, aside from trying it out would be for someone in ACE to check it for you, I'll tag @egydiocoelho and @brummyfan2 and we'll see.

i have found a video that explains it i'm not sure if it is usefull but from what he says is that the slot thats empty is for the ssd.

here is the link to the video, he speaks a different language but its in english in the discription

i did the same thing now and by the looks of what you said, that means that my aspire should support it in theory.

i followd this and everything as you said and in theory it should work and what do you think? it does work indeed i have it installed now and im using it with my windows on it it seems to be working at x2. so the empty slot in hwinfo seems to be the slot of ssd

edit: also thank you very much for helping me figure it out.
