Hey gang, I'm new to the community since I've never really had any issues, but recently my laptop has been randomly shutting down under load. My laptop is a Helios Predator 300, and my warranty expired in March (of course). I mainly play WoW classic, but it's even shut down playing on tabletop simulator. I've been on Wow now for about 10 minutes, and predator sense is showing CPU at 134 F With spikes up to 179F) and GPU at 111F on auto. Only way I can reliably play games is if I put fans on max. I opened her up and checked the fans and heatsink which were clean, and I reapplied thermal paste but it hasn't help. I always use a cooling pad. Not really sure what to do, so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks all!!

TripodMedic youre temps seems to be just fine (i would advise you in the future to use celcius as thats how everyone measures cpu/gpu temps as someone might not understand it and might think its celcius) what are youre exact specs ram etc are you on dual channel mode i recommend hyperx or vengeance 16gb minimum 2x8 any recent windows updates that might had break it it could be anything from ram/not enough windows virtual memory/windows bugged you should disable windows from update drivers/firmware or even completely check any latest updates and roll back or uninstall them you should only update whatever u need when needed manually and make sure you setup the games/apps manually on nvcp to run on the dgpu instead of the igpu most times settings might not stick even if the dgpu its the default also what thermal paste did u used (i recommend kryonaut or similar) and how have u applied it u can also perform a battery power drain followed by a bios setup defaults you shouldnt need the fans on max auto with coolboost on should be more than enough and keep the back lifted at all times 2/3" for a proper airflow last resort your windows might be broken in some way due to the updates you could backup everything u need and perform a stock recovery clean install ALT+F10 on boot and delete everything option to completely rule out any software issues  good luck :)
