So today I bought an Acer Helios Predator 300 (RTX 2060 GB, 32GB RAM and i7-9750H) ,after setting up widows instaling Steam,EpicGames,GOG,Uplay I installed some games like Dead Island, Unturned, GTA V, ARK, Left4Dead2, Minecraft. Minute into the game(Left4Dead2) I noticed fans spinning like crazy but after 2-3 minutes it was like a Jet Engine and the part near F8 and F9 numerical buttons where BLAZING HOT I burnt my fingers. The temperature was CPU:65-74c GPU:67-73c SYSTEM:64-75c(On Idle everything is 35c). Thats not normal for a brad new laptop to Overheat in a INSTANT! I bought this laptop for gaming and not for just looking at it ,I cant game because of that Overheat and loud Noises. I tried "CoolBoost" That doesnt Help and yes i didnt overvolt it because its already . I dont wanna open my laptop to damage it if do something Wrong to brEAK it;it costed me 2000$ If anybody has any suggestions to fix this because this is not normal!??!

Brand:Acer
Product Name:Predator PH315-52
Serial Number:NHQ54EX01***********
SNID: ***********

LovreMamuzić your temps are just fine according to what you just described also its not allowed to post your snid/serial publicly its against the ACUA your breaking the rules by doing so please read it i will be reporting your thread to the admin/mods to get it fixed to comply with the ACUA and cpu shouldnt go above 85'ish and gpu 70/75 max optimise your windows properly and if needed undervolt it further with TS check here also its completely normal for the fans to go really loud they are doing what they are designed for just leave them on auto coolboost on play some games check your temps in real time with msi AB and if more than what i already stated send it back to get it repasted if they dont go above any of those youre fine good luck

LovreMamuzić serial and snid its considered private/personal information so not allowed posted publicly also its completely normal that the keyboard heats on those places its where the heatsink is and im not reporting you im just reporting your thread so the admin/mods can remove that info from the thread because you cant edit it yourself this is common procedure when posting personal info publicly nothing u should worry about :)

oh ok, now I was playing Dead Island and I set my Fan Control Left Fan:5040RPM(CPU) Right Fan:5040RPM(gpu) + Cool Boost ON
and the temperature was exceeding CPU:82 GPU:75-80 BUT SYSTEM:87. I cant play videogames because the keyboard is too hot to touch, I cant repaste it becuase I dont have the items for that and Im scared of damaging my brand new laptop. Is there any help to this or I need to refund my laptop because of this,i bought it yesterday

LovreMamuzić contact acer support from your own country and send it back for a repaste even if you swap it for another you might have the same issue its a hit and miss when it comes to stock thermal paste

LovreMamuzić no all gaming laptops are made to overheat you can get from any brand it will be the same its either overheat or the manufacturers cripple the performance by underclocking the gpu/cpu which its a waste of money acer always provides the true raw performance on all components cpu/gpu overheating its easily solved by optimising windows properly undervolting and repasting with the best thermal paste available
