Hi. I wonder if this  LED panel is compatible with my Aspire A715 71G.
The part number of the panel in question is LM156LF6L01 and it's manufactured by Panda.
Here's two picture from my current panel.
current panel link from panelook
And what should i consider when searching for compatible screen for a laptop? Is having the same pin count enough?
What about the interface type?

Should they be exactly the same ?

Thank You.

    Yep:
     - Are connectors the same?
     - Are they located in the same place?

     - Do they have the same outside dimensions?

     - Do they have anchor points, and in the same place?

     - Is it worthy the upgrade? For me certainly, viewing angles of TN panels are terrible, so
    ✔.

Thanks. You know, what made me ask is when i Asked the retailer about the compatibility, She said no, it IS NOT compatible with your laptop and instead, recommended this thing. Which is bad, really bad. Same thing as my current panel.

For the love of God, don't go for another TN, you already have that, for for one that belongs to the VA or IPS families. The one you chose, while it seems to have a similar color range as the one you have is way better on the viewing angles.

I bet unless you tilt the screen right you don't see properly right now.

I know the difference. That's exactly why i'm in search for a new one. The point was that the seller recommended something that is awfully similar to what what i'm dealing with right-now.

What is  HBR1 (2.7G.lane)  ? What's the difference between these to interfaces?  if there is any at all.

I believe that has to do with the lanes of DisplayPort, it is referred to in its specification. HBR1 was included in the 1.0/1.1 spec, HBR2 in the 1.2 and HBR3 in 1.3.

Since both panels use 2 lanes and use the same revision of the eDP (embedded DisplayPort) protocol it doesn't really matter. They were also both 1080p panels so it should work just fine.
