Overclocking the Acer ED273 abdpix?

I have a question regarding overclocking the Acer ED273 abdpix. It's 144hz native and I tried pushing it to 200hz and it worked. However, if I turn off my monitor, and turn it back on again, I get "Input not supported" until I revert the overclock. I was told online there was some lock on acer monitors that prohibits overclocking? Is that true? is there a way around it?

thanks.

Sorry if I appeared like a jerk, I fixed the issue, turns out I was using a displayport 1.2 which supports up to 1920x1080 at 144hz while I was trying to OC to 200hz. I bought the 1.4 Displayport and it fixed the issue. Went up to 200hz and ran ufo test, and compared the photos I took to the examples, no frame-skipping whatsoever :)/ this monitor is wonderful. thanks.

Likely there aren't enough people trying to overclock it to be able to give you an answer.

Great, mark your last post as the solution and the thread will be more likely to come up when someone else is searching for that question.
