I see, could you post the exact model number you have in the machine (e.g. A515-54G-70Y9) and detail a bit the procedure you followed to get Windows 7 installed?

Try to be descriptive, it's the best way for us to help you.

The thing is, Windows 7 isn't officially supported past the 6th gen Intel processors, yours being an 8th get will make things tricky and it will certainly be unsupported which implies, among other things, no microcode upgrades for the processor from Windows Update; although Windows 7 is unsupported on its own without an extended license so...

Anyway, things that come to my mind that may give you trouble:
     - The SATA operation mode, better set it to AHCI, I don't really know if RST is supported on 7. That setting is in the machine BIOS.
     - UEFI & GPT, I don't think 7 likes that either. Your best bet would be to switch the machine to Legacy boot mode in the firmware settings (BIOS) if at all possible and then try again. Ensure the drive is MBR formatted and not GPT.

After that good luck, if you arrive at the same problem it may be good to think about giving up I'm afraid. I wrote a guide on how to clean install Windows 10 and it applies to 7 in its majority as well, specially the part in which you load RST during setup (first stages). When in AHCI, Legacy and MBR it'll help getting the storage portion right.

Here's the thread should you want to take a look at it (I'd recommend the PDF some posts down, some things have been fixed): https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/607771/guide-how-to-install-windows-10-cleanly

PS. I think there are ways to go with UEFI and GPT in 7, but they're more hassle than what they resolve. You could also replace the first stage of the installation manually using DISM to dump the image of 7 onto the disk, another thought, but I wonder if it'd made a difference...

Try disabling Secure Boot first, that's a feature of the UEFI specification ;)

    Maybe... haha

I only mentioned the Secure Boot thing because you were trying to switch away from UEFI with it enabled in the screenshot you posted. But yep, although the processor is probably capable enough to run 7 without problem you'd need the rest of the things working as well and when 7 came out there were no UEFI/GPT devices.

All of them, if you're making a clean install delete them all until only free space remains.

Then click on the free space and Next, Windows will create what's necessary ;)
