I have some concerns that my laptop may have undergone hardware tampering. To verify that this has likely not taken place, I was wondering whether I could receive photographs of how the laptop should look on the inside, over the internet. I would then compare the received photos, with what I have in my laptop, using
visual inspection.
Also, obtaining a detailed textual description of the internals would be helpful. In such cases, I could then perhaps go to the websites of the various manufacturers of the individual parts, and request photographs of their parts instead of getting them from Acer or the Acer community. I understand that I may be able to obtain such detailed information by running software on the laptop, however, if the laptop has undergone tampering, the information may describe the tampering and not what the laptop ought to be.
Thanks,
Mark Fernandes
P. S. This question is more of an exercise than something providing a specific solution to a specific problem. I would like to know how easy this process this is, in relation to buying Acer computers in the future. If it's difficult, then maybe I'll go elsewhere for my computing devices.
