bios version with the VT feature for iCONIA W700?

I have recently purchased an Acer iConia w700 tablet to mainly use for developing. After I received it I realized it wasn't setup to have Hyper V. So I looked into it and it is capable, and after reading some forums I found out I have to enable the Virtualization Technology (VT) in bios. Only problem is this bios does not have this option. So I'd like to know what bios version does have that or another route I can take to complete my goal of being able to enable VT and Hyper V so I can develop Windows 8 programs on my new machine. Thanks.

I am not aware of a BIOS version available for this system which enables these features.

We do not anticipate any being available in the future.

Can I add my voice to ask for support for Hyper-V? Realistically, how much time would it take to add support into the latest BIOS version? Surely its just changing the value of a couple of registers here and there and you're done, or are there some other reasons why it is not being added?

It would help me out greatly as I take the device on the road. I want to be to develop for multiple systems (Android, iOS and Windows Phone) with the Win Phone 8 SDK being the sticking point. Without hyper-v enabled, that is currently impossible.

    It's terrible.

I will use this tablet for my denvelop departmend but it is not possible.

Only you can use the Microsoft Surface pro.

    These are more expensive.

    I don't believe it!

The hardware and software are support Intel® Virtualization Technology (VT-x), but why you have to disabled it!?

I need to run Android emulator, but it's so slow because of lack this feature.

Good evening, I bought this tablet because the processor supports virtualization hyper-v and what I find, I can not enable it? It is absurd! I hope you are planning an upgrade of the bios, thanks

Just got my W700-6831 the Bios shows support for Virtualization

Upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and Hyper-V is now an option in the Windows Features to turn on

Running virtualization and the Cpu speed is fixed at max speed and notice the Cpu cooling fan is on most of the time

Without virtualization Cpu will throttle up and down as low as .80 Ghz
