Hey, so i bought my acer helios 300 in 2019 september, it works great, after 7 months tho, the cpu temps have gone crazy hot, hitting 92c almost everygame, ive even changed the power plan options for the max cpu limit to 99% . added new thermal paste as well, still the temperatures just dont go down. its getting frustrating now.please help

Whats your cpu specs? Do undervolting and also using cooling pad. Im playing AAA games at max settings and my max temp is only at 67 degrees celsius for cpu and 68 degrees celsius for gpu. Im using throttlestop and IETS GT300 cooling pad.

The acer helios 300 2019 comes undervolted from the get go , but after recent updates, the cpu freq seems to remain at max at all times , even idle.

MrPringles blame windows 2004 they introduced another rubbish service that will lock 2 cores to turbo boost at all times even on idle and leave ther remaining parked to use only if needed this will cause high temps again microsoft at their best lol i suggest you optimise your windows properly and undervolt it further wit TS check here  also if still needed repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can yourself without voiding your warranty or send it to acer to get it repasted with stock paste and keep the back lifter 2/3" for a proper airflo either way good luck :)

PS: you can always downgrade you windows version with a stock recovery clean install ALT+F10 on boot and delete everything option and disable windows updates after but backup whatever u need first
