As the title said, I somewhat really need a few tips or even better instructions

yesterday I managed to change the operating system from win 10 pro to home (dude from the last time that "fixed" my laptop installed the wrong version of windows 10 https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/586276/change-bios-mode-and-sata-a315-51-3388). Now im back to using an activated version of windows 10. I wanted to reinstall cause im pretty sure the laptop is capable of using optane memory but rn in the bios it's set to ACHI. I might as well change bios back to UEFI too.

Hi, I just wrote a thread that could be useful to you, it covers some Optane things, but I don't have your system to know for sure if things will be the same.

Technically, you can go about without reformatting, there are ways to re-deploy a system that's set to boot in an AHCI environment to an RST one and vice versa, but they may be more hassle than just reformatting unless you're willing to pay for a license of some programs that do it for you.

    I'd give it a shot: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/607771/guide-how-to-install-windows-10-cleanly
