I've seen older posts about this issue and similar issues, however no solutions, so I'm going to try again. I've had my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51 for just under 2 years. Recently, it's begun to stop charging at around 93%. Once there the battery light on the side blinks an orange color and stops charging up, but still holds the charge where it stops. If I try unplugging it and plugging it back in, the charging switches on and off over and over (along with my keyboard light, screen brightness, annoying beep sound). When this happens, I do a battery reset (unplug power/USB devices, hold power for 15 seconds, hold tiny button with a pin for 15 seconds, let sit for a while, plug in while shut down for a while, turn back on) and it charges back up to 93%, however once it reboots, it's stuck at 93% again with the light blinking. I have no idea what to do. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have been having the exact same problem on my laptop, the exact same model with the I7-7700HQ and GTX 1050ti. I have read forums regarding other Nitro models, in which it was believed that by playing games on the laptop on battery life, or even while plugged in, but not at 100%, the laptops battery would suffer great consequences. Well, that's the only reason that I can see which would cause something like this to happen. I have had my laptop for 2 years now and, thank god I got a desktop in January, or I would be completely out of luck. This problem only began occuring in early June, however my laptop will charge to 85%-93% then just burst charge, same as yours. This is unacceptable and the fact that ACER's blatant design flaws are affecting people, yet ACER is not responding to complaint threads, just goes to show me their level of customer care. I will not be purchasing another ACER product, ideally ever and if any ACTUAL ACER tech support employees are looking at this forum, send a reply here and I will send you my E-Mail for this to get OEM'd. This is absolutely unaceptable and I would HIGHLY suggest that you look over your battery engineering a bit closer next time you decide to release a MASS PRODUCT at $1200 CAD.
