I have an Aspire N17Q3. I reset everything, due to selling it to a friend. When it went to restart it said it was loading windows. Then I got an error that it was shut down unexpectedly shut down during install. Now, the little dots just spin when you start it up...it wont load anything at all, not even the home screen. Please help me!

Shut the machine completely off by pressing and holding the power button for about 5 seconds. Then press and hold the ALT+F10 keys. While still holding the keys, press the power button to turn the machine back on. A recovery screen should appear to allow you to re-do the erase everything factory reset. Jack E/NJ

Would you be open to re-installing using an image I provide to see if that's the problem? I'd need to know the full number of your machine though, mine is A515-54G-70Y9.

So, I have created an installation image for Windows 10 2004 that hopefully serves you @ckdavis. The download link is a bit massive, but if you couldn't download a file so big I can split it in half for example: https://mega.nz/file/kdkBjYIS#3_rytf-eRKjUl8FyGrmBBaIaC9kHkGVbpAJ-Fgx6djk

To create a bootable USB we'll be using Rufus:
    1. Insert the USB stick you want to use, open the app and select it. It has to be 8GB+ in size and its contents will all be erased, copy anything you need to keep off of it:

    2. Use the SELECT button to choose the image you just downloaded, the settings will be populated with sane defaults that work for both UEFI, if you wish to install it in a legacy system change "Partition scheme" to MBR and the rest will change accordingly:

    3. Click on START and let it go, you'll have a bootable Windows installation media at the end of the process. Use it to install Windows in the Spin 1, remember to delete all of the partitions it has at the partitioning stage, when asked where you want to install Windows. Then click the free space and click next, let the installer be the one creating the necessary partitions.

    4. Hopefully the installation will go through and you'll get to the OOBE and later to the desktop. All that remains is connect to the Internet and let it download the missing drivers (I think they'll be Intel TXE, Graphics and Audio, but since I don't have the machine I can't be completely sure).
    I hope it works! :)

    Please, do report back.
