I recently bought a Dell U2719D monitor, which regularly shows "no signal" when entering energy saving mode. Same happens after startup and restart. In order to get a signal, I have to repeat the following procedure multiple times and if I am lucky, for no apparent reason, an image appears:
.) unplug hdmi cable
.) turn off monitor
.) wait (between some seconds and some hours)
.) plug in hdmi cable
.) turn on monitor
.) set projection mode to "pc only"
.) set projection mode to "duplicate"
.) repeat procedure if "no signal" appears

I made sure the cable is ok, but also tried using different cables and monitors and every other combination works without any problem. Drivers for Intel HD 530 and Nvidia are up to date. Windows 10 even recognizes the monitor in the display settings, but nevertheless the screen shows "no signal". Input source on the monitor is set to hdmi. I tried factory reset. Since the monitor immediately works when connected to a different laptop, there has to be some sort of software problem I am unable to solve. So I hope you can help me solve this issue.
