Hello I’ve heard that on the Acer nitro 5 if it’s not plugged in to the charger it would affect the preformance let’s say I’m at 40 percent while not plugged in would if affect my preformance on Roblox, Roblox is capped at 60fps.

Of course it does, most laptops limit every game at 30fps while on battery to save power. You can try it yourself on battery and see that your fps are capped at 30. I recommend playing while plugged in since it doesnt damage the battery at all (it is Li-ion and it has a special anti-overcharge mechanism) and you get the full performance out of it.

To try to game at 40% and to report back if there is a prformance decrease with this game in particular.

This is normal. Even on performance mode, the battery cannot supply enough power to run all games smoothly. Playing while plugged in perfectly normal, it is encouraged and we all do it all the time.
Unless the game is unusually well-optimised, you will most certainly get frame rates in the range of 30. It can even go down to 10fps on some pf the more demanding games.
