Hello, I am experiencing audio problems with my Acer ED273 monitor. It has been used for about eight months. Visually, the monitor works great - and I use it's built-in speakers when playing games on my Xbox One.

However, when I listen to game audio or music on Spotify through a headset wire-connected to the audio output of the monitor, the audio issues become apparent. There is a constant small but very noticeable "buzz" sounding the entire time, and bass lines in songs sound very poor. Songs do not sound clean whatsoever. I have tested multiple headsets and made sure I did not plug in the headset in the wrong monitor port.

Additionally, I have listened to the same audio through an Xbox controller and it sounds significantly better. The audio also sounds better on a computer using the same headset.

Is this normal? If so, is there a way I can fix this problem?

More often than not that kind of noise can be traced back to either a cable that is not fully seated, not properly grounded in it's shielding, or a power problem like a ground loop or bad surge arrestor. Try verifying that everything is fully snapped into place, the audio jacks sometimes have a gasket at the bottom to keep contaminants out and you have to put a little more pressure in to full get it into place. Then try moving the monitor power to a different outlet or at least off the power strip used by the computer/Xbox...
