acer aspire m5-583p restart fails

bought new w Win8.1 ... since installing /upgrading to Win10 the restart function has failed. it simply shuts down.

i have found no BIOS, Win power plan or button settings that affect this.  This really impacts major Win updates such as current 2020 spring 2004 update, it takes several restarts and I have to press the power button to kick it back into gear each time.

made worse by the horrible performance this untested MS release has burdened me with... unbelievable.

this 'hard error' of restart failing, it is likely tied to some very low level firmware/hardware anomoly, nothing in the Win environment I've been able to find will improve the condition

sorry about the location of the post, I just now see it was dropped into "swift/spin S and R" though I don't know why.

this issue may very well have been there originally with Win8.1, I just don't recall that clearly now 6 yr later.
