How to reduce heat when gaming? Predator Helios 300 high temperatures

Good day everyone, this is my first time to ask question in this community, I'il try to make it brief.
Laptop: Predator Helios 300 (2019)
Model: PH315-52
CPU: i7 9750h CPU @2.60GHz (9th generation)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660TI 6gbvram
RAM: 8GB

My question is, why does this laptop gets so hot? It always reaches 92 degrees celsius every time I play games mainly Rainbow Six Siege and GTA V. Its been almost a year since I bought this (July. 24,2019) and since then every time I play before, CPU temp always reaches 80 degrees celsius in R6 siege (with max fan on always). Given this, I played with default settings which is on the highest settings available and haven't manipulated anything cause it is the recommended. Now as time passses by, 92 degrees celsius is the mark where my CPU always sits on every time I play. The laptop gets really hot whenever I touch the surface just above the keyboard to the point it gets untouchable for some amount of time. Now this always makes me uncomfortable as heat is the primary destroyer of gaming laptops nowadays and battery will always be the first subjected to damage. Also, the predator fans does not also reduce heat at max fan speed and yet so loud. I've already bought a cooling pad for $15.98 silvertec and suprisingly, it does not reduce anything at all.

Now to my next point, I am aware that this device was already undervolted out of the box (-125.0mV) now that gives me the thought to undervolt it further to see if there  are any changes to the temperature, and it turns out by using ThrottleStop, the offset Voltage is already proven to be undervolted and hence cannot be reduce any further by default as shown from below.  I don't feel safe anymore by playing with a CPU with 92 degrees in the long run. GPU wise it does not bother me that much cause it sits between 60-70 degrees. Also I do not have the option of to re-apply thermal paste as that would void  my warranty and its risk is higher cause I am not an expert in tinkering with laptops. Anwyays, is there a way to actually reduce the heat when gaming? I've already met all the conditions required in ventilation (no blockage of airflow and etc) and yet I feel like its designed to destroy it self as I continue to play for the months to come. Accommodation and help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • You may be able to lower temperatures by lowering processor power to 95% in power options. Now, the ideal would be to replace the thermal paste and perform a cleaning of the fans. I also suggest that you visit this topic: Red-Sand ThrottleStop Undervolt Profiles Pre-Made — Acer Community

bungeegum if you optimised your windows properly and undervolting its not working u need to get it repasted with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding your warranty or get acer to repaste it with stock paste also keep the back listed at all times 2/3 inches for a proper airflow good luck

Ps: you can undervolt it further whatever values you apply on ts its the values you will have just have to select the 250mv range to go further and apply the same on core/cache if you dont know how to properly undervolt it manually and how to recover from it when it freezes/crashes i suggest you dont do it get it repasted instead

What do you mean by properly optimised windows? I mean, I haven't changed anything yet from its factory settings and I'm kinda sure this is the default optimised windows? Anyways I thought 125mV was the max voltage i could undervolt from it but it seems rather available in that circular button which sparked again my curiosity, will it be safe to undervolt it to that extent? does that do any harm? I am still novice to stuff and I wanna make sure before I make a move. Anyways, I've already found a soultion to my problem I've just discovered some hours ago. Believe me or not, I've played r6 siege and the my cpu temp went from 92 to a solid 62-65  degrees. I am so happy with it.

That's the link to the solution (option2). Anyways thanks you so much for your help, I appreciate it.
As I've said, I am not confident enough to open up my laptop and replace its thermal paste as it comes with risk and i do not have any thermal paste on hand.If ever I allow this as an option, I would've brought this to a shop and for thermal paste replacement. With that said, I have yet to explore the throttle stop to check that power options cause I seem to not see it. Anyways I've already found a solution to my problem

This video above worked like a miracle. (Option 2) . My CPU temp went from 92 to a solid 62-65 degrees, Anyways thanks for your respose and accommodation, I appreciate it.
