Gaming while laptop is already 100% and not plugging it out?

Hello
So, I just want a clear answer about this idea. Since I already know that gaming is best on charging and not on battery (AC adapter charger plugged out), is it completely fine to leave the AC adapter plugged in when the battery is already 100% when gaming? Based on the internet, I read that generally the battery has a built-in mechanism that it stops charging when it's 100% and switch to the ac adapter. Does an acer nitro 5 laptop have this mechanism and is it ok to use this mechanism? Because I am worried that I might damage my battery faster when ac adapter charger is still plug-in in a 100% battery when gaming. Thank you in advanced for you answer.

Don`t worry, that is how gaming laptops including Nitro 5 are designed, you will not damage anything.

Even a long period of playing time (2 hrs and above) plug-in in a 100% battery?

You won't damage the battery while it's plugged in, don't worry. Most laptop batteries have a integrated protection system that stops them from charging at 100% and switches to the AC adapter. Even after a long period of time, battery health won't decrease. Battery health can only decrease at high temperatures (if the battery is at high temperatures, not the laptop).
