Hi,

I have this problem about installing any windows OS on my Aspire 5 (A515-53G-59JC). I accidentally deleted the boot on hdd when I'm transferring the windows files from hdd to ssd. And then try to reinstall windows using a clean installation. In that, I've reformat my hdd and ssd in preparation for the installation. During the installation of windows 10 using a bootable flashdrive, I've encountered the problem in the image below.

I've read some solutions online and it says that the problem is the missing drive from USB 3.0 port which will be solve using a USB 2.0 port. But my laptop doesn't have a USB 2.0 port. It only have 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 3.1 type C ports. I also try this on windows 7 and 8 but same problem.

Today I've tried to install an OS using a disk but the boot manager didn't recognize the cd drive. There is no problem in the cd drive and cd itself because when I tried to open a file using Windows Recovery Image tool, the CD drive is being displayed on the "This PC" tab.

What should be the problem?

Go to this link to download the serial io driver zipfile. Unzip it. And put the unzipped files on another USB stick. Remove the USB Windows installation stick. Then insert the USB stick with the unzipped files. Then click on the browse button to load the required driver. Jack E/NJ

It doesn't work :< I've also tried putting the unzipped files on the flash drive with the installation file, but same outcome.

Thanks @JackE, I've found a solution. I recreate a bootable device using media creation tool and disable the secure boot on the BIOS settings. It works like magic. Thanks for the help pal.

Good. I thought you had already used the media creation tool and disabled secure boot. Good luck. Jack E/NJ
