I have used acer nitro 5 for about 3 months,  I understand it's a budget laptop but it runs most games smoothly which I'm very glad. The problem occurs when the temperature of the cpu raises to about 90-95C and many games I play starts to have sudden freezes (they are brief but rather annoying), even on indie games which are not resource intensive. I read several posts regarding to this issue which lead me to consider to repaste.
I bought MX-4 on amazon and did repaste following tutorials, however, it didn't effect the temperature at all. I tried repaste again with more thermal paste but ended with same result.
Just recently the cpu temperature went above 95C by a few degrees when I was gaming and I'm worried that the overheating will damage the laptop.
I'm unsure why the cpu temperature went even higher, it is due to the new paste I applied?
Should I try a different brand of thermal paste or will acer provide support if I contact them?
I'm also unsure whether damage due to overheating is included in guarantee.

(Just a note I do run games with max fan and coolboost)
