I bought a KA272 Acer monitor which has built in speakers. It has a VGA IN and an HDMI IN. I didn't see an Audio in anywhere but it doesn't detect audio from the HDMI connection. How can I get it to detect the built in Audio?

Did you set it as Default Digital Output Device or HDMI in Playback  Devices? Right click on speaker icon.

Are you sure your monitor has speakers? I can't find your model, but other KA models don't have speakers.

There are two speakers at the bottom of the monitor and the monitor was advertised to be with built-in speakers.

There are a couple things here you can try. Have you tried another cord?  Are you seing the Intel Display audio in Device Manager/ Sound, Video, and Game Controller?

I have tried three cords as of now. In the morning I will try to find the device in the device manager and attempt the fixes in the link.

The KA272 bi and KA272Y bi do not have speakers. Can you link us the advertisement that said they did? We can suggest Acer contact the site owner to get that changed.

I went back to the advertisement and it had listed a different model. It turns out they have actually sent us the wrong one. I've contacted the seller and the issue is being resolved. Thank you all for the help!

Ah, that explains it... I'm sorry for your pain, but hopefully they'll get it right this time. :)
