Hello, yesterday I got a new triton 500, unfortunately it maintains very high CPU temperatures 70-75 degrees while idle and very loud fans despite not running any application on optimus and battery saving mode. I attach photos of temperatures, fan speeds and laptop specifications. The temperature and noise of the fans increases slightly when I connect it to the power supply. Surprisingly, the condition is getting worse when I turn on Predator Sense. Everything on the laptop is updated.

Reaches 80 degrees Celsius with only Predator Sense open

it actually starts only after running the Predator Sense app.  Before that, the laptop is silent.  Only after commissioning are high temperatures shown and the fans start to work loudly.

Anyone help?  It looks like the Predator Sense application was not compatible with the new triton, maybe from i7 10th generation or nvidia super.  Even on optimus, both GPU fans are enabled.  I also had the triton 500 predator in the 2019 version and the application works there normally, with the optimus turned on I had a 35-40 ° C CPU and the second fan for the GPU did not work.  In the 2020 version, after turning on the Predator Sense, the application immediately shows a 60-80 ° C CPU without any application running and very loudly turns on the fans.  Without the predator Sense application, the fans are much quieter but they go more often than in the 2019 version. I am asking for quick help, because such problems in such an expensive laptop should not happen.

I think the predator sense app is a little garbage. It consumes 10% cpu while opened.

If you are doing desktop stuff try to disable the boost of the cpu to not have randomly spikes to full speed. You can do that in power options in windows, set cpu max to 99%.

jaikoniec1 u definitely need to get it repasted either yourself if youre able to without voiding your warranty and with kryonaut or similar or send it to acer to get it repasted with stock thermal paste either way u need to get it done

BiHan and yes the new PS (blue ) uses from 10/15% cpu at all times because has much more functions as its expected with any software the more functions the more usage especially the mobile app

This!!! Thank you! My temps were also jumping as high as 87'C during nominal desktop use with the fans wildly kicking in... even with a laptop cooling pad. Switched the processor to max 99% and hey presto... temp immediately dropped to 52'C with no loud fans. I wonder if there's a setting for the sensitivity of the turbo boost? It's behaving like a base clock speed most of the time.

Soooo... I looked into this further and found: https://www.geeks3d.com/20170213/how-to-disable-intel-turbo-boost-technology-on-a-notebook/

It allows you to add a reg entry which enables "Processor performance boost mode" (some random info here). You can then set your maximum to 100% and disable the turbo boost, or select one of the other values. Fyi... the reg entry was already there, but DWORD set to 1 instead of 2 which enables to extra option.
