Camera problems

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5741 A, running Windows 10. Although an older laptop ,seldom used but it has now developed camera problems. When I use Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom, the camera is perfect, but after approx. 5 seconds my picture darkens but the background remains ok. If I "cup" my hands around the lens, my picture returns to normal brightness. Can anyone offer any help to what the issue maybe.

    Do you own the acer crystal eye program? Also, have you turned off automatic brightness in the power options and also in the intel control panel?

    Hi, and thanks for your quick response, problem fixed, turned off the automatic brightness.
