I'm trying to mount my monitor and it's got the VESA holes, but they are inset, so that the screws aren't reaching the threads. Using the standard screws. Anyone else have this problem?

    Hello,
You can use other screws or spacer screws:

The space screws are much harder to find in the size that the VESA mounts use. They're easier with the smaller sizes used inside the computer.
