Acer C738T Chromebook WiFi problem

WiFi keeps dropping out with the same WiFi issue as detailed in this thread:

My C738T Serial number is NXG55SA003634236837600, this is my kids school Chromebook and she needs WiFi at school. Problem has been occurring for over a year now and is getting much worse.

Tried everything I've found on this site and online, the only temporary fixes that work are repeatedly restarting the Chromebook or taking the back off and reinserting the Intel WiFi card, this only works for a few hours typically.

Took Chromebook to local IT store and tried using an external USB WiFi adaptor but that didn't work. Also replaced the internal Intel WiFi card and that didn't work. I'm at the point where if I can't resolve this the Chromebook is near useless.

Can someone please help? Is there a fix Acer can PM me asap? Thank you

Have you tried changing wifi channels yet? Click on About Chrome OS and then click on Detailed build information. In the resulting window, click CHANGE CHANNEL and then select the channel you want. You will then be prompted to click CHANGE CHANNEL AND POWERWASH. Click that and the device will begin the process of changing channels. Probably should be done at school or call the school to find out what wifi channel they're using. If this chromebook was purchased in NZ, you should be able to set it. If it came from another country, it may not be set up for the channels typically used there. Jack E/NJ
