Hey Everyone,
My
ASPIRE V7-482PG 5642 laptop battery is not charging and I'm wondering if I need to swap the battery.
I took my laptop to work, the battery drained to 18%, I plugged it in the wall and it sparked. Didn't seem to do anything initially, so I kept working.
I noticed eventually that the computer wasn't charging beyond 18%. Eventually when I went to leave, I unplugged the power and my laptop shutdown.
I've tried deleting the drivers and rebooting the laptop (to reload the driver) as the internet suggested, but that hasn't fixed it.
I get two different messages on my taskbar when hovering over the battery. It either says "0% Available (Plugged in)" or "255% Available (Plugged in)" with an addition "x" within the battery icon. Do I need to purchase a new battery and swap it? Has something else been fried?
I've also had this show up as well:
