I can't do it at all, the furthest I can get is stumble through the install process, at the end however it asks to restart the computer and then when I press ok after freezing for a bit it cuts to a black screen with nothing on it, system messages appear when a usb is taken out or any of the function buttons are pressed, instead of the power button for example, a string appeared identifying the button. after this happens, the only way to get out is emergency power off and if I try to use the installed Linux it goes to the password screen and then freezes.
I am trying to dual boot.
there was a thread
https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/598047/#Comment_598047which mentioned the issue but the solution for step
"( 9) Turn back on while tapping F2.
(10) Re-enable secure boot(BOOT) & select UEFI file as trusted(MAIN). Select HDD0, SSD0 or eMMC0, then <EFI>, then <ubuntu>, then grubx64.efi the UEFI file. Ent grubx64.efi in the space provided if selecting it doesn't automatically enter it. Save BIOS setting and exit."
Tapping F12 takes me to the initial menu not to the bios and I don't know what it means by "select uefi file as trusted" I assume it means its in the main section of the bios, but it isn't. theres a HDD0 but that's the only thing. I haven't a clue about the last bit.
Could anyone give me a hand, or have any easier suggestions to get it working
