Laptop won’t boot up after ram upgrade despite having identical ram

I bought an Acer Aspire 5 slim. After adding a 4gb stick with the same specs as the factory one in order to bump it up to 8 gigs the laptop screen won’t turn on. The fan and light up keyboard turn on but that’s about it. What should I do?
Thank you

Hi,
Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like A5xx-xx, also post the make and model number of both memory modules, thanks.0 -
The model number is A515-43-R19L. Could you clarify on what the make and module numbers are? I do know that they are both 4gb 2666mhz sticks. Also, I went back and opened the laptop and swapped the 2 ram sticks with each other. Now the laptop screen turns on and functions properly. However, when I go into the setting to check the ram info the laptop only shows that only 4gb of ram are installed. What should I do?

Hi,
Download and install CPU-z, run it and post the snip of Memory tab and SPD tab for both slots, like in my snip in addition post the snip of Memory tab in Task Manager as well.https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Since all these show single channel memory and no trace of an additional 4 gigs of ram added then I suppose 1 of the ram sticks isn't seated correctly.0
