How do I upgrade my HD with a SSD without the metal plate and cord?
Hi,
Laptop
Acer Nitro 5
Model: Nitro AN515-51
I've been trying to upgrade the space on my laptop, it's been maxed out for awhile. I tried message the support about it but, they won't help me because my warranty expired in 2018... anyway I bought a Samsung SSD QVO 860, and I cracked open the back of my laptop, following the instructions I was given, on google... and I don't have the parts? Is this something you can only do on certain models? Can I not upgrade this laptop at all? The back doesn't have the silver metal plate I see people putting their SSDs into and screwing in, I also don't have the part that plugs into the SSD as well. Are there other parts I need to purchase? I really need the space, and can't really afford to buy an entirely new laptop because this one is maxed out. I do a lot of editing now compared to gaming, and it's my best bet.
