Screen not working randomly

I've read through every other similar-sounding post I could find, but nobody seems to have the exact same issue as I do (or at least everyone else's problems were solved). Here's a rundown of my situation:
Long story how I got my Predator PH315-51. Had a Nitro that kept having issues, Acer ended up sending me this one via mail to replace it. It worked great for just over a year. Starting a few months ago, the screen has been acting up somewhat randomly. It rarely flickers (but has happened one or two times) but usually, if the computer screen has been off for multiple hours, when I wake the computer the screen will remain off. Sometimes it will come on after 10 seconds, sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes, sometimes it won't come back on at all. I plug the HDMI into an external monitor and the monitor works just fine. The laptop itself is running, just with the screen off. This also will happen sometimes from a full startup if I shut the machine down as opposed to letting it sleep. Plugged in to AC power or running on battery seems to make no difference. Here are the things I have tried to fix the issue, based on other threads on the boards:
- Pinhole battery reset
- Disable fast startup, hibernate, hybrid, etc. Even turned off sleep.
- Reinstalled Windows completely, updated Windows to 1909, then downloaded/installed display and chipset drivers directly from the Acer website
- Updated to Bios 1.26 (latest version available on Acer website)
- Uninstalled the Intel HD 630 driver then reinstall with version from Acer website (a few times) - strangely enough, one time this immediately turned the display on (until Windows automatically updated the driver to a new version, which turned it back off). Another time, this did not do anything
- Pushing the function + F5 or F6 keys
- I don't do any undervolting/throttlestop (saw this was an issue for one user)

I can't figure out if this is a software issue or hardware issue... it seems to me like there have been symptoms of both. Last time I sent a computer in to Acer (the original Nitro I had bought which was replaced) it took them a full month to send it back to me "fixed", even though it wasn't fixed. I am currently doing an online MBA which requires heavy amounts of writing every week, and there's no way I could go a month without a computer. I would fail the class. Even a full week would be too much for me to go, so sending it in really isn't an option for me, unfortunately.

Does anyone have any more ideas, short of buying a laptop from a different company or sending it to the Acer repair center? This is really annoying that problems started almost immediately after the warranty expired...... Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Update - after another extremely frustrating two weeks of the screen not turning on after leaving the laptop alone for a few hours, I think I'm going to just buy another computer. I've never had so many problems with ANY computer, at all, in about 30 years of home and professional use. I would advise anybody who is considering buying a Nitro or Predator from Acer against these two models, as they have been frequent problems and headaches for me. I'm even turned off enough to not consider other Acer models in the future... guess I will have to see.

Good luck to anybody who stumbles on this post with similar problems. Hope you can figure it out better than I could!
